A typical 45 minute Boot Camp workout will start with a thorough warm up to gradually raise heart rate and make muscles more pliable to prevent injury and improve performance. This is the same every session. This is followed by the main section which will be based on timed intervals, for example 40 seconds of work followed by 20 seconds rest, times 5 different exercises. After a good recovery period this set may be repeated or new exercises given. During this section you will be working hard, keeping your heart rate up, and working every muscle group to build lean muscle mass needed for boosting fat metabolism. Exercises might include squats, lunges, press ups, short shuttle runs and lots of core work too; all are progressive to challenge you at the right level. Towards the end of the session their is usually a ‘Metabolic Finisher’ which is designed to give your metabolism one last little boost to keep you burning fat for longer. The session is concluded with a cool down to rid the body of lactic acid to reduce risk of cramping and a good stretch to reduce stiffness.
There is no option to Pay-as-you-go for each session. This is because our aim is to get you the results you want and offer a money back guarantee. Without 100% commitment to the program, attending 3 sessions a week and following the nutrition plan, we cannot promise to deliver those results. Clients who pay up-front for the full 12 sessions are also much more motivated and find it easier to get out of bed at 6 in the morning! Plus block members tend to bond over the 4 week course. Anyone attending the odd session would not feel part of the group and would see other members progressing faster themselves which is demotivating.
At Get Your Body Back Boot Camp we have a ‘closed door’ policy whereby once a block has already started we do not allow anyone else to join at a later stage. This is because our programs are very carefully designed to be progressive from your first to your final session. Anyone starting at a later date would struggle to catch up. And again, the ladies really do bond from day one which is a really important aspect of Get Your Body Back Boot Camp.
We do hold taster weeks every 9 weeks (after every other block - contact for details). It is by invitation only as places are limited. If you know a current camper then ask to come along as their guest or alternatively contact us for a guest pass, valid for 2 people for the whole week. These taster weeks are a free service provided by our trainers. However, during these weeks accept donations for our chosen charity.
We are now able to accept credit and debit card payments through PayPal for online bookings, no account necessary. However, we do also accept cheques in the post for now but must make clear that bookings are only confirmed once the payment has been cleared. Contact me for details if this is your chosen method of payment.
Absolutely! Because our sessions are based on timed intervals, you would just do as much as YOU can within the given time. The exercises themselves have many levels of progression, starting with a low impact basic version, building up to more cardiovascular and strength-building as your fitness levels improve (which they will, very rapidly!). Our expert trainers know exactly at what level to coach each client and, although you will be pushed out of your comfort zone a little each session to ensure good progress, there won’t be anything you can’t do. ‘Can’t’ is not a word we allow at Boot Camp!
Many of our clients have been avid gym goers or runners for years in an attempt to lose weight but never had any success before trying Get Your Body Back Boot Camp. Our sessions are basically group personal training, with attention to technique and drive that you’d never get from a gym class or a program. Long gym sessions or runs actually put stress on our bodies that cause the release of a stress hormone that is responsible for fat storage! Our sessions, on the other hand, are designed for maximum fat burning as they are short and fast-paced with recovery built in to reduce stressing the body whilst keeping the heart rate elevated enough to promote continuous calorie consumption. The types of exercise we do are also specifically incorporated to optimise fat burning during and up to 48 hours after your workout has finished!
Absolutely! We have a lot of clients who have reached their goal weights and still come to boot camp month after month as they find it fits into their busy schedules well and they really enjoy it. We continue to push them hard as there’s always room for improvement but it’s the variety and camaraderie that make sessions fun and sociable.

Our boot camp blocks are tailored specifically for women and aim to target their common problem areas with the right exercises, nutrition and supplementation for them. By focussing on women we are able to deliver a much more effective package for them. Our ladies boot camps also offer a safe and unintimidating environment for those very new to exercise, put off by gyms and other mixed boot camps.
Yes, very often, although hopefully not for long! Obviously there’s no guarantee who will be on each boot camp but we regularly have a complete mix of sizes, ages and abilities. Women range from size 8-22+ but everyone has to start somewhere. If you’re serious about achieving your goals you have to break down your own barriers to success otherwise you’ll remain in the same vicious circle and nothing will change. No one is judging anyone; everyone has their own goal but you’re all in the same boot camp boat together and when the going gets tough they support each other and are proud of each others achievements.
This can depend on a number of things, primarily any complications during pregnancy or delivery, how fit and active you were before and during pregnancy and whether there are any post natal issues such as Caesarian scarring and Diastasis (parting of abdominal walls. We often have new mums join us still breastfeeding and still up in the night with their little ones so if you’re committed this shouldn’t be an issue. The best thing to do would be to contact me or even your health visitor or GP to discuss.
No, unfortunately it is not possible for baby to come to sessions, even if they are sleeping. Not only is mum then distracted and the weather very unpredictable, my insurance simply doesn’t cover the business for this.
Many injuries and conditions can be worked around and certain exercises can either be adapted or omitted and alternatives provided. If you have an injury, disability or condition contact me to discuss suitability before booking.
No, I’m afraid not. I have been asked many times if I’d sell gift vouchers; husbands wanting to buy a block for their wives. Our trainers expect total commitment from our clients. Therefore, I feel it is important that the participant instigates the purchase. It’s the first step in making that commitment to realising their dreams.
Yes! We have a fantastic long term payment plan now in place. Once you have completed an initial block with no long term commitment clients are then offered the opportunity to sign up for either 6 months or 12 months at very generously discounted rates, paid by standing order every calendar month. There are lots of other perks and discounts to signing up to one of our contract payment plans but should you not want the commitment you are very welcome to continue buying each block individually online.
